Blessed Beltane Everyone,

We have entered the Season of Beltane, a special time for me. It is not only my favorite sabbat of the Witch’s Wheel of the Year, but the birthdays of Drawing the Circle & the Silver Broom Ministries. It also marks the shift into the Heart Chakra (4th Sabbat, 4^th Chakra) & is a time of Archetypal Marriage & Sacred Union.

May is an all-around busy month for me regardless of the schedule. It is in May, starting at Beltane where I think about what I want for DTCP, my now 14 year old. My 7 year old, the Silver Broom, has many mothers tending her. In her case, it takes a village. But DTCP, my boy, I pretty much look after.

He’s a good kid. I love him. He works a lot & is very busy. He’s always up for trying a new thing, pushing the envelope gradually & having fun with it. Yes, I have just personified the 2 companies. They are my kids with Amy. Mind you, we also have a 16 year old, our coven the Solitaries of the Silver Broom. She’s wicked cool & is her Mama’s girl. There as well, she has many tending her.

So, looking at DTCP, I watch as the new ideas pop up. Webinar has been a word I am tossing around. I have no idea how to pull one of those off, but when has that ever mattered? In the meantime I am reviewing the Raw Audio Witchclass Cycle One Series & getting them ready to launch soon.

This first attempt at producing our own audio is called Raw Audio, because it is RAW. We recorded a bunch of Witchclasses, cleaned them up a bit & added intros & outros. Recording them was a hoot, as is every Witchclass. But the real magick is that we did it with no money. It manifested out of vision & the collaboration of 2 men that it made it possible. I’m going to do a post about them specifically when we launch the Raw Audio Series, as we’re still getting all of that set up. But when it does launch, you will know these men.

That said, I have an incredibly busy week ahead. We have our annual Beltane gathering at my home with coven & company. We have scaled the whole thing down a lot over the years, after all, we have ‘teenagers’ now. Gone are the ‘feeding the tree’ moments, though you never know when that old gem might literally pop up. I’m getting my house & my mind in shape to pull it off & still be ready for Witchclass Cycle Two Monday night, oddly enough focusing on House & Home Magick. “Sweep, sweep, I sweep this place, by the Power of Air I cleanse this place.”

But Beltane also gives me a chance to look back as well as forward. Good Gods Almighty it has been a wild year. Being a Professional Witch on Long Island teaching & whatnot, then stepping into the NYC fashion world assisting & musing Eila has been a really fun trip. My look changed. Oh yeah, if you haven’t seen me lately, I cut my hair short for the 1^st time in over 20 years. I could write an entire blog on that but… the Sun &/or Moon isn’t in Leo so we’re all saved from that happening.

It is a season of many things for me; not just a day but a whole 3 month season, as are all of the sabbats. For me, it is about True Love, Divine Power, Emotional Balance & above all else feeling good. The whole Law of Attraction thing really amplifies here. Beltane-tide can be wicked Vortexy if you know how to tune yourself to it; drop the oars, turn downstream & ride the wildly fun & very wet rapids.

Ok, I’m gonna say it. I am sort of a part time Avatar of Dionysus & Beltane is his sabbat. He speaks through me on rare occasion, but really, that’s not so unique in the Pagan/Magickal community. That is not just another blog post perhaps, but a series of classes I plan on launching someday, maybe this year.

Aspecting & Avatars? Well it’s a shift from my alliteration to assonance. If you know what that means & the difference, I love you! OK, I love you even if you don’t, because LOVE is what the season is all about. Channel that divine power through your Heart Chakra & you’ve got yourself sacred union to the extent that you can handle it. That said, it’s a path not a destination & how much divine wattage can you handle all in one go?

Since it is a path & I’m looking at DTCP’s past & future, our May schedule of events is up & running to serve our community. Our events are posted on our website www.drawingthecircle.com. We are launching 3 workshops with Michelle the Astrologer on Friday nights this month. This week is Gardening with the Moon from 7 – 9pm. The following two are on Astrocartography & Planetary Hours. I am teaching Mondays – Wednesdays with Witchclass Cycle Two, The Vortex Appreciation Group & then Prayer & Meditation respectively. This trio really covers 3 of my passions: Magick, Miracles & Mysticism, also respectively. Not only do I enjoy each immensely, they keep me in line with my own personal practice. If you haven’t checked them out yet, you might want to, as they cover a pretty wide range of what I teach whether you are a Witch, Angel or an eclectic putting it together as you go.

Our Mission Statement of: Bringing people Together with Spirit has always been our focus & guideline. I know we are fulfilling it every day. We meet so many people in one week let alone one year. I am doing readings, spiritual counseling, healing work & of course teaching to ensure my own joy as well as fulfill my commitment to serve the Children of the Gods, meaning all of humanity, as they desire it.

It’s a pretty sweet gig & I plan on it getting sweeter whether I am in Sayville at the Broom, navigating the NYC streets of the Fashion World or making my monthly visits to Jean’s Place: The Sacred Hearth in New Jersey.

I wonder where this road will take me in the next year & I am very eager to find out. But for today I am celebrating with friends, cleaning house & getting ready for Prayer & Meditation tonight. All is being done with great fun & appreciation for the life I have co-created for myself. All in all, Beltane & the year ahead are bright with promise, with a few dalliances & dances as I go.
