A Course in Miracles, Published by The Foundation for Inner Peace
(2006 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
This is my ultimate personal textbook. The Course is a Spiritual Self Study journey in the transformation of a thought system based on fear to one of Love.
This is the alchemical definition of a Miracle, a sift from fear to Love. In 3 parts, the Text is a journey in & of itself.
The Workbook gives 365 days of prayer / meditation to support the mind’s training as described in the Text.
The Manual for Teachers, my favorite part, helps with more practical insight into living the Course as a way of Life.
One of my favorite things on earth & a true Gift from Source.

A Hat Full of Sky by Terry Pratchett, Published by HarperCollins
One of my Favorite Pratchett Books. It has Granny Weatherwax, The Nac Mac Feegle & a young Witch who has stolen my heart. Move over Smurfs.
I howled with insider Witch controversy & loved every second.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A Lion Among Men by Gregory Maguire, Published by William Morrow
(2009 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
The third book in Maguire’s Wicked Trilogy. 1) Wicked 2) Son of a Witch
The first 2 books were wonderful, but this one really touched me.
Reading the first 2 would be helpful, but this story stands on its own while weaving the new & old OZ mythos together.
It follows Brrr, the Cowardly Lion through his life as he slowly recalls his lapsed life as a small cub.
We see his role in the whole Yellow Brick Road journey through the eyes of a broader personal history. Maguire portrays a highly intelligent & therefore more thoughtful & pensive Lion.
We see through the common depiction of cowardice into the self preservation & survival issues that face us all.
A strong story about identity, tribal dynamics & of course true courage. A Tail for the Lost Orphan in all of us.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent by Esther & Jerry Hicks, Published by Hay House
(2007 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
This is the sequel to Ask & it is Given by Abraham-Hicks. I am thoroughly impressed by their work in general & this book helped to solidify a lot of the principles in Ask.
You don’t have to have read the first book to benefit from this one. It goes into enough of the basic Law of Attraction material, that if you are familiar with the Laws, this will be a powerful addendum to learning.
I find the Hicks to be very committed to their work, in that they live what they teach. This book shows you how they do it. Fun Stuff.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Are You There Vodka? It’s Me Chelsea by Chelsea Handler, Published by Gallery
(2010 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
In my line of work taking time to laugh, REALLY laugh is essential.
Ms Handler’s stories made me double over laughing. She provides a series of short autobiographical essays ranging from childhood to the present.
We are given brief glimpses into her family, friends, lovers, work & home life. Couched in the sharpest humor is a woman of power, an Alpha Female.
Favorite moment: Regifting.
This was so much fun, I highly recommended her work regardless of venue.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Astonishing Power of Emotions by Jerry & Esther Hicks, Published by Hay House
(2008 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
I was given this book on audio as a gift. What a gift it was. I have always enjoyed the teachings of Abraham & adore Jerry & Esther.
I find great solace in this work. This volume in particular was instrumental in helping me point my canoe downstream & drop the oars.
The most valuable truth for me was this, “There is nothing that you want upstream.” What a relief & what a wonderful book.
Focusing more on the Law of Allowance than attraction, this book gives keen insight into the vibrational signals we receive from our Higher Self / Inner Being through our emotions.
Simple, profound & quite humorous. If you like the Hicks, this is another delight. If you are new to the Hicks, you will find this enjoyable & immediately applicable.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anatomy of the Spirit by Caroline Myss, Published by Hay House
(2006 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
Ms Myss is one of my all time favorite Teachers.
Her work in the Chakras, Medical Intuition & Energy Healing has brought me to my knees on too many occasion to count. For this I am truly thankful.
In this book she combines the 7 Chakras with the 7 Sacraments of Christianity & the Tree of Life from the Jewish system of Mysticism of the Kabala.
This is a door opening book as it radically shifts perception & aligns one with the 7 spiritual Truths underlying all mystic Spiritual Traditions.
A must ready for the modern day mystic.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle , Published by HarperCollins
(2007 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
I really enjoy Mr. Tolle.
This book further extends the implications written in The Power of Now to a more global level.
In this way it is a sequel, yet, I found new materials here that were perhaps hinted at in the previous work, but fleshed out in a fuller scope.
Very inspiring & contains a vision that supports my life & path, being very universal & at the same time personal.
A great experience.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ascension by MSI, Published by SFA
This is the nuts & bolts of the Ishaya’s practice of meditation called ascension.
I liked this one better that 1st thunder, which was the story telling version of how The Practice came to the west.
This book really defines the process, but does not reveal the inner core of the teachings, which comes face to face with a teacher.
This is the core metaphysics & spirituality behind Ascension, as well as consciousness for that matter.
Very interesting.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ask & it is Given by Esther & Jerry Hicks (The Teachings of Abraham), Published by Hay House
(2006 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
What a great book.
This one crystallizes the process of Manifestation, implementing very easy to understand language & practical exercises.
I really love this book. It explains why we can cast & visualize & pray our brains out & still not manifest what we want.
Its focus on The Law of Attraction & teaching how to stay in Vibrational Allowance has drastically enhanced my manifestation rate.
I also love how it redefines the intuition as an ‘Emotional Guidance system’ this is really worth the read & will be added to my required reading list for my private students of Alchemy & manifestation.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Best Awful By Carrie Fisher, Published by Simon & Schuster
(2011 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
It’s no secret I love Carrie Fisher. “Postcards from the Edge” is such a brilliant work on page & screen. No one makes me laugh like she does & I aspire to be as witty & deep as she is, at least as a writer & performer.
The Best Awful continues the story of Suzanne Vale, the heroine of Postcards. Here we see her backslides, Bi-polar diagnosis & eventual institutionalization in a mental hospital, just like in Fisher’s real life.
We get to see Ms. Fisher’s life through her eyes, through the eyes of Vale. If you have experienced rigorous life transformation, with or without substance abuse, you will find something relatable here.
It reads like an adventure in some places, as Vale puts herself in some very dangerous situations. But you can still see Fisher’s life shining through.
Her relationship with her mother continues from the last book with the same hilarity, tenderness & verbal tug of war that made Postcards such a relatable delight.
This is an enjoyable read & fictionalized semi-autobiography. I walked away with more understanding than before I started, that alone is worth any read.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Carpe Jugulum by Terry Pratchett, Published by HarperCollins
Literally “Seize the Jugular” this book is off & running with Vampires who attempt a political takeover of the mountain countryside of Lancre.
Granny Weatherwax to the rescue.
Mr. Pratchett can haunt & tickle at the same time.
But don’t be surprised if you find yourself laughing at yourself.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Casting Might-Have-Beens: A Film-by-Film Directory of Actors Considered For Roles Given To Others by Eila Mell ,
Published by McFarland & Company
(2011 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
OK, she’s one of my best friends. But Eila’s skill as a writer is clearly seen in this work; compiling so much information about movies, how they are cast & who could have played what part in any given movie.
I really enjoy this book; it gives me a break from my work in a way that still feels like I am learning something.
This & her other publication, “Mickey Rooney as Archie Bunker” also on this year’s suggested Reading List, are fun departures from the work I do.
If you are a movie buff & enjoy the ins & outs of who is whom in the film industry, you will find this a more than satisfying book to own.
She includes interviews, stories & lots of data to bring you into the world of the silver screen while you imagine what it might have been like if Christopher Walken played Han Solo, for example.
Buy the book, you’ll spend days looking up actors & movies you love, know & maybe never even thought about in possibilities never considered.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Channeling Grace: Invoking the Power of the Divine by Caroline Myss, Published by Sounds True
(2009 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
What can I say about Ms Myss that I have not already said.
IMHO she is a genius of what she does & never fails to deliver the kick in the ass I need. Her lecture / audio work is exemplary. This subject is a passion for her & you can feel it in your heart.
I was able to understand & implement what Myss discusses easily. An otherwise heady subject is brought down to brass tacks & I loved every minute of it.
The thought of each of us as channels of Grace not only inspires, but implies a responsibility to become that channel, to rise to the ‘Altitude of the Mystics.’
With Caroline’s Spiritual Direction & sharp style, we are prodded to the heights of our potential.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang by Chelsea Handler, Published by Grand Central Publishing
(2009 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
The Gods know how much I love me some Chelsea.
This is her 3 rd book & I could not wait to get it in my hot, rather largeish, hands. It must say something about me that I relate to her so much.
She makes me laugh so much & so hard, probably because I can easily see myself in some of her situations.
I suppose it’s because she’s a Pisces, clear about her sexuality & free from the self-importance we see in so many ‘Hollywood Players.”
I really admire her for taking the place she has in an industry so bias against women in general. I never miss her show ‘Chelsea Lately’ & have her set on my DVR so I don’t miss any.
But her books give you such a fun insight to the insanity that is her work, social & sex lives.
If you get burned out, as I do, with so much serious psychological & spiritual work, I’m sure you will find ‘Bang Bang” a needed respite.
Filled with enough pee yourself humor to keep you going, Ms. Handler’s work, in total is a must have in any tongue in cheek metaphysician’s library.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Color of Magic by Terry Pratchett, Published by HarperCollins
The First book of the Discworld series.
You don’t have to read Pratchett in order, but it helps. Here we meet Rincewind the Wizard, bedraggled … well, I guess he’s the hero.
But he’s not very good at Magick & mostly succeeds by running in the opposite direction of it.
Then, the Luggage. You’ll find yourself feeling for the luggage. I did.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain, Published by Hay House
(2006 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
This is the very 1st book on consciousness development I ever read.
I was 16 at the time & this just blew my mind. The first few chapters of this book is an invaluable metaphysics 101.
This is another one of those must reads for people wanting to start out on a clear path toward empowerment.
The exercises are still valuable tome this day & I’ve certainly utilized ‘The Pink Bubble’ for my other work as a Witch. Fun & Inspiring to read.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cunningham’s Book of Incense, Oils & Brews by Scott Cunningham,
Published by Llewellyn Worldwide
This is an excellent recipe book. Great reference material.
My copy is loaded with bookmarks .A great base for the Potion Witch.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cunningham’s Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs by Scott Cunningham,
Published by Llewellyn Worldwide
This is a Must Have!
Unless your Mother or Granny was a Hedge Witch & taught you herself, you need this book.
Herbal Magick is a part of the Craft & Scott in his diligence to detail & love of teaching produced this magnificent volume of herbal lore & magickal application.
Simply a must to any decent Working Witch’s Bookshelf.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Defy Gravity by Caroline Myss, Published by Hay House
(2010 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
I recommend Caroline Myss a great deal, almost every day.
Her work always gives me deep insight that triggers a lot of interior transformation & healing on a consistent basis. I know when I am starting any of Myss’s work, I’m in for a ride.
Defy Gravity lives up to this statement. Her description of Grace & how we connect with it is revolutionary.
Not that it hasn’t been said before, but her approach is clarifying, showing us exactly how we begin to make room to let Grace in.
Her pairing of 7 Graces with 7 Shadow Passions just blows my mid. I’ve been working with this for awhile as of this writing & I have seen Shadows within me give way to Grace in many ways.
This work is worthy of any Witch’s time. It is universal, applicable & rooted in solid, ancient & mystic wisdom.

The Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard, Published by Hay House
(2006 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
What an amazing & transformative book.
A series of transcribed conversation between Mr. Renard & 2 Ascended Masters, this otherwise intense book of information is written in an easy to read way.
These Masters appeared to Gary in bodies, so is not ‘channeled.’ This opens up as many questions as the book answers.
It is definitely one of the reasons I became a renewed student of A Course in Miracles, opening it up to a fresher understanding than I had before.
This is a must read for any serious student of Metaphysics. Interestingly enough, Witches in particular have been enjoying this book, understanding that it speaks about the very core Laws that we live by.
It’s also given whole new meaning to Forgiveness as a moment by moment spiritual practice. This is great fun & a great read. Enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Drawing Down the Moon by Margot Adler, Published by Beacon Press
No suggested reading list for Witch’s or other magickal people would be complete without this classic. This book helps me most when I start to feel isolated & alone as a witch.
I suppose any text on your particular slice or genre of sociology will do that. Margot is just wonderful & Its so cool to hear her on National Public Radio, where she is a regular voice on “All Things Considered.”
Having read the book, I just feel more connected with a national & global scene & community.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity by Catherine Ponder, Published by DeVorss
(2008 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
This is such a great book.
A classic in my mind in the process of creating prosperity in your life through Spiritual Law. Yet, its not a book you’d expect to see in a witch’s bookshelf necessarily.
The is book made a huge shift in my mental process toward money as well as what Prosperity really means as a spiritual being. The language & stories may seem a bit odd at first, they were written in the 30′s.
Yet, the principles are classic, in the sense that they are true & always will be. Though this is often thought of as “New Thought” metaphysics & yes indeed it is, I found every chapter to relate directly to my life.
Very useful, almost more of a tool, than a book.
Now available on Audio – 2007

The Easiest Way by Mabel Katz, Published by Your Business Press
(2010 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
This is a very brief & beautiful introduction to the Hawaiian problem solving technique called Ho’oponopono.
It’s not a manual, but Ms Katz’s story of how her life was in need of healing, her journey & how Ho’oponopono & other modalities transformed her life.
Ho’oponopono is very simple, its practice day to day is easy to apply. Yet Mabel does admit the challenges of resistance we face on that journey.
You can read this book in a day easily. I think you will be inspired to try the process & see what happens.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman’s Search for Everything Across Italy , India , and Indonesia by Elizabeth Gilbert, Published by Viking
(2008 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
A brilliant piece of journalism on the spiritual path.
I really enjoyed Elizabeth Gilbert’s story, as it was her reading the book on audio, I felt a strong connection with her voice.
The similarities & coincidences kept coming as I listened to her words. I found myself in these pages, much to my surprise.
I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone on their path in times of doubt, which we all come to.
Gilbert’s savvy, though never astringent humor, certainly sobers the often times fluffy aspirations of spiritual pathhood.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Enchanted Love by Marianne Williamson, Published by Simon & Schuster
What a yummy book. I met Ms Williamson at a book signing for this one. This really helped me out, because manifesting True Love is such a major focus in this life for me.
This book helped me phrase things in a more universal rather than personal context. Now I embrace the Path of True Love more easily thanks to the principals defined in this book.
Pssst, she even mentions Witches in this one …Don’t tell..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The End of Reincarnation: Breaking the Cycle of Birth and Death by Gary Renard Published by Hay House
(2008 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
This is a companion audio for Gary’s 2nd book The Secrets of the Immortal. I find his very speaking voice calming & his insight into the Course in Miracles so helpful.
I wouldn’t be the person I am becoming without Gary Renard. God Bless him & check out this sterling program that covers much ground in the filed or reincarnation, forgiveness & miracles.
Energy Tapping by Fred P. Gallo, Ph.D., & Harry Vincenzi, Ed.D. Published by New Harbinger Publications, Inc.
If you thought EFT was interesting, this book will blow your mind. Step by step energy tapping treatments are listed so anyone can immediately tap their way to deep change.
The book is written so the reader can retain a brief education on how the process works & follow thorough with simple techniques that give instant results.
This book in a Witch’s hands is a highly transformative potentiality. This work is worth the$15.95 cover price. I already have mine highlighted & dog eared.
Enlightenment: The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali translated by MSI, Published by SFA
Ok, for starters, its a translation of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. There are certainly other interpretations. This one sang to me. I got it.
It seemed every time I opened the book I was given a deep message from deep within, mirrored on the page. Over a period of years I finally completed reading them all.
I am so touched by the innocence of MSI’s translations, showing obviously that Patanjali supports Enlightenment for ALL beings.
This translation makes Fully Developed Human Consciousness the birthright of all conscious beings.
This is not a brain twister, it is a relief. I highly recommend this book, it is certainly enlightening.
Entering the Castle: Exploring Your Mystical Experience of God by Caroline Myss Published by Hay House
(2008 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
What can I say about Caroline Myss that I haven’t said before?
I adore the woman from a distance. I love her brisk style & no nonsense attitude. I have every audio she has recorded on ITunes. But I also wouldn’t want to have her dress me down in public or private either.
Well, Ms Myss does some serious dressing down of many of our spiritual myths in this volume & gets down to the nitty gritty of the path of mysticism.
She is brilliant & I can’t think of a better word than incisive with her personal experiences of the mystical experience. Her work with St Theresa is evident.
She has translated a good part of the Saint’s work on the Inner Castle to contemporary times & does it with a poetic symmetry that I come to love in all of Caroline’s work.
I openly admit, I could not finish this work ( I only have entered up to the 2nd Mansion of seven. It was too strenuous for me this year. BUT, it is on my list to finish, not just as a good read, but as a guide through the inner castle of my Soul.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Equal Rites by Terry Pratchett, Published by Harper Collins
(2007 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
One of my Favorite of the Pratchett Witch books.
We first meet Esmeralda “Granny” Weatherwax, my all time top notch favorite Witch. If I could grow an eighth as wise & half as strong, I’d be alone, but a very powerful Witch.
Mind you, Witches MUST be female & Wizards are only males on Discworld … or are they???
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everyday Grace by Marianne Williamson, Published by Riverhead Books
(2007 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
This book has been on my shelf for years, but I include it in 2007 top 10 suggested list because it is one I refer to a lot.
It is one of those books you can say a quick prayer about, then open to a page & there is your guidance.
Marianne is a truly gifted speaker & writer, but more than a philosophical approach alone, this book offers “wands” that can be used for a more everyday mystical experience.
The book brims with love with healthy dashes of human humor, allowing me to apply these universal principles in a more easy & graceful way.
A Must read for those new to Miracle Working & must have for the student of Mysticism.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
First Thunder by MSI, Published by SFA
This is the fictional telling of how MSI found the Ishaya’s or vice versa. I hear it was pretty much true, but regardless its a good book.
It definitely piqued my interest & got me to meet a few Ishaya monks when they came to Borders in 1997. I took my 1st sphere a year later.
I have been using their meditation technique ever since.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Four Levels of Healing by Shakti Gawain, Published by Hay House
The integration & balancing of the Physical, Emotional, Mental & Spiritual bodies is the foundation for all healing & manifestation work I do.
Shakti is the one who hipped me to the interconnection of the 4 bodies in this book.
There’s also a lot of life affirming stuff in this one to help aspirants on the spiritual path find the balance between the transcendent & the material lifestyles, an issue many of us continue to struggle with.
A great read.
The Game of Life By Florence Scovel Shinn, Published by Conscious Living Foundation
(2008 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
This is the audio version of one of Ms Shinn’s 4 extremely popular books. You can find the entire collection reviewed below under The Wisdom of Florence Scovel Shinn.
This audio was so helpful to me. It refreshed my basics on the Universal Laws within a few days of listening.
Simple & full of stories of her clients & community, this audio, indeed all of her work, is inspiring as well as instructional.
The Gift of Change by Marianne Williamson, Published by Harper San Francisco
(2006 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
I read the entire book on vacation in the tropics.
It was perfect. Synchronicity followed synchronicity as what I read showed up in my experience.
Miracles abounded & still do. Though I love Ms. Williamson’s “A Return to Love” & have recommended it repeatedly, I have to say, this is a more current & in many ways deeper book.
This is a real powerful insight into the ways of God. It outlines the very changes we need to make to come closer to God & Indeed, LOVE. Read this, you’ll watch yourself change.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Goddesses in Everywoman by Jean Shinoda Bolen, Published by Harper San Francisco
After reading the “God” version of her work, I dove into the Goddesses.
This author opened me to Jungian Psychology & archetypes. I found many aspects of my internal world in these goddesses, even though I happen to be male in this life.
I looked at every woman in my life differently since reading this.
I see them as emanations of the Goddess & find more reasons to Love, Respect & honor, as well as serve, give space to & sometimes know when to hide from.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gods Behaving Badly by Marie Phillips, Published by Little, Brown and Company
What’s not to love about a story where the Olympian Gods are living in present day London? I adored this story.
It really did the God’s justice in the sense that the author places you right in the middle of what an ordeal human life must be for immortals.
Artemis is a dog-walker. Apollo a TV psychic & Athena is so wise that none of her compatriots can fathom what she is talking about.
This book was suggested to me by Aisling, one of our Witches & I cannot thank her enough for it.
I laughed with a real knowing of the mythology, what it means to ‘Swear on Styx” & what a day trip to the Underworld is like.
Really, what a great read, highly recommended for a quick refreshing journey through classic myth in contemporary life.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Gods in Everyman by Jean Shinoda Bolen, Published by Harper San Francisco
OK, my Mom gave me this book for Christmas when I was going through my spiritual awakening in college. Pretty Hip Mom.
This book was a door into a deeper relationship with the Gods & particularly as a male, gave me insights that have ever since influenced my life.
I’m a Dionysus with touches of Hermes & Apollo.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Going Postal by Terry Pratchett, Published by HarperCollins
We are introduced to the sly & mercurial Moist Von Lipwig, a true scam artist in the Pratchett style.
In a deal to save his own life he becomes a civil servant in all places, the Post Office.
Always a touch of mythology & archetype thrown in for good measure, pratchett manages to embody Hermes in Moist with death defying & hilarious results.
This paves the way for his next Moist book, Making Money.
Good Omens; the Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman, Published by HarperTorch
(2011 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
What an amazing story.
Yes, I am known as a Pratchett lover. It’s true & I’m proud of it. This collaboration with Neil Gaiman however stands on its own.
Having nothing to do with Pratchett’s Discworld series, this story takes place right here on Earth, mostly in its final days.
We get to see a satirized timeline of human history from Eden to the present day through a very apocalyptic & ‘revelatory’ lens; revelatory as in the Bible’s ‘Book of Revelations.’
This tome has it all; Heaven, Hell, an Angel, a Demon, Prophecy, Witches, Witch Finders, the 4 Horsemen & even the Anti-Christ.
But what Pratchett & Gaiman do with this story speaks much more of human nature, friendship & ineffability, than anything fictionally horrific or demonic.
It has its violent moments, but they pass with witty observation, plain old wisdom & such a satiric bite, that you’ll return to this one.
There’s no way to catch every nuance of “Good Omens” in one read. So it has become one of my ‘every few years’ books.
There was talk of Terry Gilliam making a movie of Good Omens. In my opinion, he could pull off this rich, fun, irreverent & biblical size story.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Grift by Debra Ginsberg, Published by Shaye Areheart Books
(2010 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
This book was suggested to me by one of my Elders. It drew me in very quickly as a story of a woman trained to con people out of their money pretending to be a gifted psychic.
What happens to her as her “gift” emerges is a journey of pain & healing worth your time.
For fiction, this story not only entertained, it captivated me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I Shall Wear Midnight by Terry Pratchett, Published by HarperCollins
(2011 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
This was a big book for me.
It is the fourth & final book in the Tiffany Aching Series by Pratchett. What started with “The Wee Free Men, grew through A Hat Full of Sky & Withersmith now matures just as the heroine Tiffany Aching does.
Anyone who is a Pratchett fan will know what I am talking about when it comes to his Discworld books. They are some of my favorite fiction; because I actually learn quite a lot from his Witches.
Granny Weatherwax only makes a few brief but powerful appearances here. This is not a Weatherwax book.
But we do meet an actual Ankh-Morpork “City Witch” as well as a mysterious female Wizard who has her own story told back in “Equal Rites” also on the suggested reading list.
I really didn’t want this book to end, though its dark themes of suspicion, rumor & persecution spoke too much of our world. This book is especially helpful to Witches of our age.
It deals with Witch Burnings & the paranoia that fuels them. To watch Ms Aching make her way through it all, broom in hand & trusting in her Self, well, it simply inspired, entertained & wrote upon me.
I hugely recommend reading all four books in order, because this final installment is worth every single page.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Illuminata by Marianne Williamson, Published by Random House
The book that got me praying again.
I got this as a gift for Christmas back in 94, it could not have come at a better time. It really shifted my life at a core level.
Ok, yes, it was my connection to the divine that made the changes, but this book helped me learn to pray with my own words, through reading Marianne’s.
In short, I learned to pray as deep as I wanted or as simple as “God? Help! Thanks. Amen.

I Need your Love – Is that True?: How to Stop Seeking Love, Approval & Appreciation and Start Finding them Instead by Byron Katie, Published by Harmony
(2009 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
God Bless Byron Katie!
So often we find ourselves mired in thoughts that drag us down to the depths of pain & depression. Yet we never really question if any of this is true.
It is like an optical illusion of the mind, seeing one thing, while what is really there remains hidden in plain sight.
This work gives us a simple process of questioning our thoughts & beliefs, helping us to ask if any of it is even true.
She gives us the basic premise early on & spends the rest of the book in examples. This frees the reader almost instantly, as anyone is apt to run across their own illusions in the reading.
For me, it was a wonderful opportunity to free myself from the “need” of love & approval.
Just as the title implies, it helped me actually find it all within.

Inspiration your Ultimate Calling by Dr. Wayne Dyer, Published by Hay House
(2007 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
You have to love Wayne. Power of Intention set me off in a whole new direction.
This book, Inspiration kept me going. Being inspired from this point of view may well be one of the most important things we can do to make an uplifting difference in our lives & our world.
Wayne’s stories are sweet, yet speak of the triumphs of the Divine Spirit within all humans. I really love his work.

The Last Hero by Terry Pratchett, Published by HarperCollins
Finally, a pictured version of a Discworld story. I loved the artwork & thoroughly enjoyed the mythic attempt to “return Fire” to the Gods.
A Fan’s visual treat with the usual Pratchett passion.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Law of Attraction by Esther & Jerry Hicks, Published by Hay House
(2007 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
What a great read this was.
Though all of the material herein seems to be written transcripts from channeled verbal work, the Hicks edited the material in a flowing way that made understanding the 3 major laws in much easier.
I do think that anyone seriously looking into The Law of Attraction would be well set to start here. Abraham’s teachings are completely universal, practical & without religious dogma or undertone.
It is applicable to anyone regardless of religious background or spiritual practice. I’ve already manifested a lot working with the Hicks & Abraham.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Living in the Light By Shakti Gawain, Published By Hay House
Such a gem. Read this in college. It helped me integrate spiritual Law into my life. It may sound cliche, but it did change my life.
It’s sort of the practical application of Creative Visualization, her 1st book. I just love Shakti Gawain. She’s one of my all time favorite authors that I haven’t met & I’d really like to someday.
Hello…anyone who manifested a healing retreat in Hawaii has my support. Talk about manifestation.

Living the Liberated Life and Dealing With the Pain-Body by Eckhart Tolle, Published by Sounds True
(2008 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
An exquisite visit with a master of silence. Mr Tolle is a deep teacher of the ability to heal by witnessing the pain in our physical, emotional & mental bodies.
This came in very handy during my “shamanic descents” & so it has been added to the 2008 suggested list. This is audio, so you really get the tone of how Tolle teaches.
He’s deep alright, you can feel it in his pauses as he merges with the infinite, emerging with the perfect words to point at a wordless state. Magnificent work.

Lords & Ladies by Terry Pratchett, Published by Harper Collins
This book is one of the reasons I remind people that the fair.. uh… Shining Ones, the Lords & Ladies are not as sweet & innocent as most think.
This is the book that made me realize Pratchett knew more than he usually lets on about Paganism, Witchcraft & in short, the Otherworld.
A Must read for all Witches, especially for trying to understand the politics of the craft. Too Much Fun.

Love, Lust & Faking it by Jenny McCarthy, Published by HarperCollins Publishers
(2011 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
I have loved Ms McCarthy since I was a teenager & kept my eye on her career as we both grew up. She has had a long career & it was kind of wild to watch her transform through so much so publicly.
So, knowing she had a break up with Jim Carrey, a pairing I thought was inspired & probably was, I did wonder how she dealt with it all.
Well, in this book, you can see her growth not just through her narrative but through the interviews & information she shares on all 3 subjects of Love, Lust & Faking it.
I was really impressed when she interviewed Byron Katie, author of “The Work” & who is featured on this very same suggested reading lost for, “I need your Love, Is that True?”
This is a funny book with plenty of humor, my kind of humor at least. But there is also enough clear information within that anyone could take the seeds offered & run with them.
Anyone who has labored in the arena of Love, romantic & sexual, can learn something here.
It was a fun read, reminded me of things I knew & explained things like “chemistry’ between people that was really eye opening. A very good read.

Masquerade by Terry Pratchett, Published by Harper Collins
Oh, I want Greebo, well, in his human form. For fans of The Phantom of the Opera, this is a must read.
Cast with my favorite Witches of Lancre, Discworld’s wit & wisdom is prominently served up sharp, deep & somewhat operatic.

Mickey Rooney as Archie Bunker and Other TV Casting Almosts by Eila Mell, Published by BearManor Media
(2011 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
Again, Eila is one of my best friends, so of course I am somewhat biased here. But really, the woman does her research.
Having been to her home many times, you can see the influence that TV & its culture has had on her family life.
She even has a replica of the bottle from “I Dream of Jeannie” not hidden on a shelf, but proudly displayed in a glass cabinet in her living room.
But here you get to learn why Larry Hagman was not in the 1985 update, “I Dream of Jeannie: 15 Years later & why Wayne Rogers was cast instead.
I just love this book. Just like her previous work “ Casting Might-Have-Beens” also a 2011 Suggested reading selection, I just can’t seem to put this book down.
It is a page turner, for a reference oriented book, filled with pictures & stories you aren’t going to easily find elsewhere. Buy this book for yourself or for the TV addicts in your life.
It has my imagination running wild with suggestions of Martin Landau as Mr. Spock on “Star Trek” & Mickey Dolenz (the Monkees) as the Fonz on “Happy Days.”

Money & The Law of Attraction by Jerry & Esther Hicks, Published by Hay House
(2009 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
In challenging economic times, this work rides in like an inspirational cavalry of truth & law. The teachings of Abraham are very consistent, as usual.
But here we see specific application toward the very foundations of human life. This NY Times bestseller has made quite the impact on my life.
The suggestions are certainly more simple than easy to implement. But this is more due to consistency of practice than anything else.
If anyone is experiencing the emotional plunge that the economic roller coaster of the world provides, this book is the helping hand offering some interior stability.
Its exercises, which are more like games, will lead anyone willing to a higher frequency band of vibration. Anything can be turned around using this very entertaining program.

My Horizontal Life by by Chelsea Handler, Published by Bloomsbury USA
(2010 Top Suggested Reading Selection)
Look, I need a laugh just like anyone else.
But Chelsea Handler speaks to me, sometimes it would seem directly so. Her stories, “A Collection of One-Night Stands” were so relatable to me, if not in form, then definitely in content.
I do most of my comedy books on audio, because I love to hear the voice of the author if possible.
This one is not narrated by Chelsea, but the woman who did the voice work became Chelsea for me, so the voice casting was spot on.
I listen to this in my car & I almost have to pull over from laughing & almost peeing myself. This book is not for the faint of heart or weak of stomach.
But if you’ve dated more than 5 people in your life you are sure to find pieces of yourself reflected back at you.
Hilarious & in an odd way moral, Chelsea’s voice comes across clearly, even though it’s not her own on the recording.

Nation by Terry Pratchett, Published by Harper Collins
(2009 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
Though not a Discworld book, this story held me captive for days.
Truly tribal, it shows how we all have the tribe within us & how we are all eventually called to grow up & serve.
Set in this world, Nation gives us an amazing juxtaposition to our current times.
It delineates the story of the struggle of young boy finding his way to be a Chief in a world destroyed only to be reborn through following our Spirit in tandem with community.
I love how Pratchett writes another Young Adult book that kept my quite adult mind entranced. What a brilliant man & what a wonderful read.

Official Book Club Selection by Kathy Griffin, Published by Random House
(2010 Suggested Reading Selection)
You may have noticed that more & more comedic work is being suggested on this list.
Well, yes humor is the best medicine for sure. Yet, this particular work packed way much more of a punch than I suspected.
I don’t like to use the word, “fan” in relation to any artist, teacher or public figure. It is short for ‘fanatic’ & I’ try not to be fanatic about anything.
But I come very close to being a fan of Ms Griffin. I watched her career rise from the beginning of her work on HA! which was Comedy Central’s original name.
To hear the story of her rise in her own voice on audio was a true treat & oddly, an honor. This woman has suffered , in her personal as well as professional life.
Thought I don’t know if she would agree, she has her own set of ethics in both worlds that really are in their way spiritual.
I have to say I was inspired by her stories in between belly cramping laugh fits. I had to wipe tears from both laughter & yes, even a handful of truly touching moments.
Seriously, I really appreciated her work before. Now, I’m just in Love! It’s a good thing or both her & I that I am one of ‘the gays.’

The Path to Love: Renewing the Power of Spirit In Your Life by Deepak Chopra, Published by Random House
(2008 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
I did this one on audio & I’m so glad I did. Nothing soothes me quite like Mr. Chopra’s poetic & paradoxically liltingly deep voice.
He’s like warm sweet spiced cream in this work & the healing it evokes is delicious. Not just a text, but a beautiful explanation of the power process of Love.
Chopra goes beyond the staple of “love yourself” into a much deeper exploration of what that entails as a daily spiritual practice & self healing modality.
I will return to this work often, as it sets my heart to float.

The Power of Intention By Dr. Wayne Dyer, Published by Hay House
(2006 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
Probably the most integrated book on spirituality that I have read all year(2006).
This is a must for every Witch, Healer, Seeker or Practitioner of the spiritual arts. Inspiring to say the least, empowering is close to the mark.
I highly recommend this as a perennial read. Excellent on audio book. Full of reminders of who you are & how to reconnect to your true Source.

The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, Published by New World Library
(2007 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
I experience Mr Tolle for the first time on a family vacation. He helped me very much, keeping me grounded in my true self as I watched old emotional patterns rise & dissolve.
He really has a vision of Universal Spirituality that cuts through all the confusion of belief system.
He even manages to quote masters from many traditions, zeroing in on the pure mystic truth of what they taught wile keeping it relative to the subject matter of Living in the Present Moment.
A wonderful man & a wonderful book.

The Power of the Witch by Laurie Cabot, Published by Llewellyn Worldwide
Goddess Bless her. I just love this book & highly recommend it to beginners as well as people who just haven’t gotten to Laurie Cabot yet.
Let’s face it, She’s the Witch of Salem. No one will ever be able to take that away from her. She’s worn Ritual robes everyday for the majority of her adult life.
That alone is worth the read, because her level of commitment shows up in her work as an author.
I find P.O.T.Witch to be a great primer to the craft as she hits so many valid aspects of it from History, to Alpha work to the more scientific aspects of the craft.
Really, read it. It’s good stuff.

A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson, Published by Hay House
(2006 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
OK, I’m a student of A Course in Miracles as well as a Witch. no big secret there.
But just diving into ACIM can be daunting. This is the book that got me to read ACIM in the 1st place. I Love Ms Williamson.
She can crack a joke & not lose the meaning of the text she interprets. What a powerful woman & one of my long distance mentors.

Sacred Contracts: Awakening Your Divine Potential by Caroline Myss, Published by Harmony
(2006 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
I had it in hardcover & gave it away after reading he 1st part. it was ok, but it didn’t grab me.
UNTIL IT FELL ON ME LIKE A TON OF BRICKS. This book is the archetypal field guide to understanding the why’s of life.
Part text, story & workbook, Ms Myss really dazzles with her interpretations of the lives of the great Masters & guides readers through their own initial steps into their inner unconscious terrain.
Lovely, humorous & firm of intent, Ms Myss is one of my dearest Long Distance Glindas.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Sacred Contract of America By Caroline Myss, Published by Sounds True
(2010 Top 10 Suggest Reading Selection)
Politics has never been a public discussion for me. I’m certainly verbal about my choices & opinions.
But in my line of work I need to keep that slate clean so as not to exclude or create issues within my community & clientele.
However, Ms Myss takes on not just the political& social issues of our times, but delves into the sacred history of this country through archetypal dynamics & symbolism.
This is a stunning & eye opening work. Myss’s passion, as always comes to the front.
But you can also tell that politics is a bit of a tricky area for her, as you could almost sense the fervor is just an inch or so short of all out rage when it comes to the foibles of our current society.
She discusses the archetypal patterns of America, including the Entrepreneur, Rebel, Judge as well as the 4 Survival archetypes, Child, Victim, Saboteur & Prostitute, which all people & apparently nations hold as well.
Simply Fascinating in a politico-spiritual way.
Sara, Book 1: Sara Learns the Secret About the Law of Attraction by Jerry & Esther Hicks, Published by Hay House
(2009 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
It’s a fun read & yes, it is for kids. But I found this story to be simple, touching & filled with Law.
I laughed a lot while reading this. I also felt a few tears drop here & there at the story of Sara mitigating her way through her daily life.
Here we are served up with a doable plan for maintaining our connection to source through the ups & downs of a contrasting world.
Yet it is done without all the heavy language or paradoxical modes of most metaphysical stories.
Yes, it is for kids, but this kid loved it a lot. I Highly recommend this work for parents on the path who want their kids to feel better about any situation they are faced with.
Small Gods by Terry Pratchett, Published by HarperCollinns
(2010 Top Suggested Reading Selection)
Social Political Religious deconstructionist on the DiscWorld?
You betcha. A Pratchett masterpiece looking at religion from a very interesting energy perspective. A real Treat.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sourcery by Terry Pratchett, Published by HarperCollinns
(2011 Top Suggested Reading Selection)
Yet again, I review another Pratchett book.
What can I say; his work transports me to another world, the Discworld. I cannot state strongly enough how his work in fiction can inform any Witch or Magickal Practitioner.
This stuff is practically written for us. Here we see what happens when unlimited power is given to a small boy.
He is no mere Wizard but a Sourcerer, i.e. a Source of Magic. This story shows how good intentions can go wrong & how absolute power indeed corrupts even the most innocent of souls, absolutely.
But thanks to Pratchett’s skewering satire & social commentary, this has become one of my favorites of his, even though Granny Weatherwax doesn’t appear in it even once.
Read it, you’ll think twice about what you would do if you had all the power in the universe to make change as you saw fit.
A perfect example of why we do not perceive our own best interests, yet with enough comedy to make you pee a little bit.

The Spiral Dance by Starhawk, Published by Harper San Francisco
Easily one of the Pagan Classics.
A must read for all Witches, but especially those who incarnated as Womyn this time.

The Third Jesus: The Christ We Cannot Ignore by Deepak Chopra, Published by Harmony
(2009 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
Being an Eclectic Witch means I can read / study whatever sparks me.
I have always found the subject of Jesus to be a fascinating one, specifically because he reached beyond the boundaries set by his society & chose to Love no matter what.
Here Chopra gives us a look at Jesus in a way obvious yet often overlooked. Not a historical or religious viewpoint, but rather a mystical one.
I recommend this work to Witches who were raised Christian. It is so important that we don’t throw out the wisdom Jesus taught by example with the discarding of dogma & limitation.
This book was a literal gift to me, thank you Joanie.
I suspect it will be a true gift to those reconciling the Truth of what this Master said with their own core beliefs about Love, Forgiveness & radical transformation of Self.

Unseen Academicals by Terry Pratchett, Published by HarperCollins
(2010 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
I’m not a slapping person, but I am tempted when people think Pratchett’s work is, ‘just fantasy’ This man is a true Genius & as many shamans & sages do, he teaches through stories.
He is always making sociological statements, often thinly veiling them as much as not. In this work he takes a stab at ‘being different’ amidst Football, which we in the US call the game of Soccer.
Tribal dynamics, mentality & tyranny are all explored here, but with a wit that cuts to the truth of life in this world, via the Discworld.
Highly recommended!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Vortex by Jerry & Esther Hicks, Published by Hay House
(2010 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
Brilliant metaphor is implemented by Abraham in this book.
The Vortex becomes the swirling energy of our Higher Self/Source Energy & the Vibrational Escrow of all that we have put there through our positive feeling desire.
I have seen this information help people turn their lives around very quickly. Highly recommended for anyone interested in or studying the Law of Attraction.
Wee Free Men by Terry Pratchett, Published by HarperCollins
(2007 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
My New Favorite Pratchett Book. It has Granny Weatherwax, The Nac Mac Feegle & a young Witch who has stolen my heart. Move over Smurfs.
I’d take Jennie the Kelda over Smurfette any day & I mean that with the deepest respect, because ‘Taking a Kelda’ is probably a very dangerous thing to do with all those blue men around.
This book is full of a Witch’s wisdom.
“Now… if you believe in yourself & believe in your dreams & follow your star… you’ll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard & learning things & weren’t so lazy”
Why People Don’t Heal & How they Can by Caroline Myss, Published by Three Rivers Press
(2011 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
I’m sure a lot of people would read this book from the title alone. But upon deeper investigation, we are shown exactly why we don’t heal or at least how we slow the process down to a snail’s pace.
This book educated me on ‘Woundology” a practice we here in the western world seem masters at.
We use our wounds, physical, emotional & mental, as excuses as to why we can or can’t do certain things, use them as bargaining points & essentially manipulate ourselves, others & our world with them.
This is not easy terrain for the faint at heart or those new to the field. But nonetheless, it is one of the more brilliant works on the subject I have ever encountered.
I adore Myss & her clear cut wisdom. I could write a book on how many times I see “Woundology” at work in my practice.
But thanks to her, I see it less in my life, because I work hard at undoing what keeps me at bay in my own healing process. A must read for the Healer, no exceptions, no excuses!
Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham, Published by Llewellyn Worldwide
Just Read it. It has the very spiritual basics that every solitary should learn.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wintersmith by Terry Pratchett, Published by Harper Teen
(2007 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
This is the 3rd out of 4 Tiffany Aching books.
It is obvious that I list Pratchett’s Witch book a lot as suggeted reading. This is because he has an insight rarely seen in fiction where Witches are concerned.
This book really moved me. It is all about taking responsibility & doing the right thing, not the easy or good thing.
Its elemental references & bare boned wisdom are worth it all, especially how it empowers the reader to work hard, serve & glean wisdom in what appear to be no win situations.

The Wisdom of Florence Scovel Shinn by Florence Scovel Shinn, Published by Beekman Publishing
I first read this material in 4 separate books. 1) The Game of Life & How to Play it. 2)The Power of The Spoken Word. 3)Your Word is your Wand & 4) The Secret Door to Success.
I was given the last one first as a gift. I had to read the other three. This book has given me more spell ideas than many other books on the Craft.
The theories & laws discussed are Universal, meaning any religious or spiritual practitioner could work with the information given.
Though Ms Shinn was surely Christian, there is a strong presence of Universal Law, allowing a level play field between all people.
Its really about how we use our words to change our lives. This is Magick folks; using words to change your insides, so your outsides change.
Don’t expect any Latin or Runic translations here. The treatments & decrees listed here are in plain simple english. If you can substitute your own name for divinity, these phrases can work.
I’ve used them myself. These are more than affirmations. I think of them as reminders, of truth, of Law. They are not statements so much as commands.
This is very powerful stuff & I think doubly powerful in the mouths of WItches. Her personal stories coupled with the tales of Ms Shinn’s clients/students are very archetypal & relatable.
We’ve all been there & you can see how these words, when spoken with clarity, power & constancy would shift things for the better. A Must Read for the verbal magickal person.

Wishful Drinking by Carrie Fisher, Published by Simon & Schuster
(2009 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
I had to add this to the 2009 list. It is a very fun read though it may stand out from the rest of the books on the list.
Neither fiction or specifically ‘spiritual,’ it certainly covers most of the ins & out of human life & relationships. I love Ms Fisher.
Her humor & candid self exposure makes this less a tell all than a personal story of touching process in healing. I laughed, out loud in many parts.
I also sympathized with her in many places where her story mirrored my own. All in all, read this book & laugh at life. It is worth doing both.

Witches Abroad by Terry Pratchett, Published by HarperCollins
(2009 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
Another one of those Archetypical triggering books for me. What is good? What is evil? Are we born, or do we choose?
Is power the only corrupting factor, or is there a mirror magick involved in the mix. Helped me get out of some grooves I wasn’t aware I was in. Helpful book.
I added this to the 2009 list because it is one of my fav Pratchett books. It falls in perfectly as fiction for those changing their own life stories.
BTW, don’t stand between 2 mirrors.

Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett, Published by HarperCollins
I first received the Animated Video of this story & I was hooked on Pratchett like literary crack.
Redo a lot of Shakespeare, throw in some very inside Witch humor & you’ll find yourself snickering your way through this wonderful Witch Book.

You Can Heal Your Life by Louise L. Hay , Published by Hay House
(2006 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
This is one of the 1st books I ever read on healing.
I often recommend this to people new to the spiritual path. This is a book they should give you as soon as you’re old enough to conceptualize.
I adore Louise & have benefited greatly from her work.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You Can Heal Your Life The Movie by Louise Hay Published by Hay House
(2008 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
Man, you just have to love Louise Hay. Finally someone sat down & filmed her telling her own story. This really touched me.
You can see she is at one with her teachings. She is illuminated in this movie & it is very catchy light. The interviews with other spiritual teachers is deep & insightful.
The Hicks, Doreen Virtue, Wayne Dyer & others in the Hay House house of writers grace this work with their own stories & processes.
All in all, I loved this movie & will look further into the additional 4 hours of extras they offer.
In short, no disrespect intended to Ms. Byrne, but You Can Heal Your Life the Movie made the Secret look like an infomercial. See this film.
Your Immortal Reality by Gary Renard, Published by Hay House
(2007 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
This may well be the year of sequels. If this is indeed a sequel to Disappearance of the Universe, then Gary, Arten & Pursah did a magnificent job at keeping me glued to the info.
I really adore this man, he’s so humorous, so sweet & is so not afraid to poke a joke at himself. Considering the subject matter, this can be a bit surprising.
But that is the best part of his work with The Course in Miracles, it is LIGHT, meaning Truth / Understanding. This book certainly helped me understand Disappearance more
It shifted how I read & apply the Course. But best of all, it gave me new ways to look at Quantum Forgiveness as my only true function in this dream we call a world.
Being immortal myself, I’m glad we have Gary along for the ride with us.
Your Power to Create by Caroline Myss Published by Sounds True
(2008 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
Ms Myss sounds off on the laws & process of creation. Fasten your seat belts kids, she takes no hostages.
As intense as she is about the over-simplification of the process of manifestation, is as tender as she is holding the heart’s desires of the listener.
This woman is a master teacher in my book & this audio really made me look deeply at the motivations behind my intentions, spells, prayers & my spiritual practice. Hard work, but well worth it, as Myss often is.
Zero Limits: The Secret Hawaiian System for Wealth, Health, Peace & More by Joe Vitale & Ihaleakala Hew Len, Published by Wiley
(2009 Top 10 Suggested Reading Selection)
Wow, what a book. It was my introduction to Ho’oponopono a practice that puts it all into a healing perspective.
Its simple language teaches the grace that comes with 100% responsibility. By simply repeating the “Graces” of ‘I’m Sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. Thank you.”
I find myself clearing memories & patterns long held trapped. Dr. Hew Len’s voice comes out clear as a healer & teacher of peace.
His story of healing an entire ward of criminally insane patients is enough pudding proof for me. I treasure this work & am so glad to have the Ho’oponopono process in my arsenal of healing tools.
Great list!! I’d also like to recommend for your ACIM afficianados, two books by Elizabeth Cronkhite who came out with a “translation” of the ACIM Text and workbook (sold separately on Amazon). Basically, she puts the Course text in “Layman’s terms” for those who find ACIM a bit too daunting.
